Visitor Restrictions at Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home
Please take note of the following memo from Allysa Olsen, Administrator, Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home:
Effective March 12, 2020, due to the current state of Coronvirus (COVID-19), as well as under the guidance of the Center for Disease Control and NYS Department of Health, visitors will not be allowed at Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home, unless it is for medical necessity. To facilitate communication between our residents and their families and loved ones, we are encouraging the utilization of alternate means of communication such as phone calls, Facetime, Skype, etc. Our facility has set up multiple laptops in order to facilitate e-communication. This will continue until further notice.
We want to emphasize and reassure our community that there are currently no suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home (as well as Bertrand Chaffee Hospital), but we are instituting this policy to further prevent outside exposure and the potential spread of illness in order to protect our residents. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time.
