With direction from the volunteer-led board of directors, the BCH leadership team manages hospital and nursing home operations.

Teresa Donohue, CEO

Donohue was appointed CEO in November 2022. She previously served as Chief Financial Officer for Bertrand Chaffee Hospital and Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home. She has been instrumental in the management of financial operations and for the strategic planning and growth of both organizations. Notably, Teresa was responsible for co-authoring and implementing the New York State Department of Health Healthcare Facility Transformation $11.3 million grant awarded to BCH, which allowed for the construction of the Bertrand Chaffee Health Center, 3D mammography equipment, nuclear medicine camera, permanent MRI structure, and upgrades to the facility’s electronic health record.

Carole Francis, CFO

Carole Francis manages hospital and nursing home finances, billing and information technology services.

 

 

 

 

Darryl Wenner, DO, Vice President of Medical Affairs

Dr. Wenner has been part of the Bertrand Chaffee Hospital medical staff since 2013, providing care in both inpatient and emergency medicine settings. His experience, leadership, and dedication to high-quality rural healthcare have made him a respected figure among colleagues and patients alike.

In addition to VPMA, Dr. Wenner currently serves as Director of Emergency Medicine and Director of Hospitalist Medicine at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital. He also holds leadership positions with Keystone Healthcare Partners as Northeast Director of Emergency Medicine and Director of EMS, where he has been instrumental in developing clinical standards and promoting excellence in patient care across the region.
