The Bertrand Chaffee Hospital Foundation commits funds from this and all its events towards projects that benefit Bertrand Chaffee Hospital and the Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home. The proceeds from this Garden Party are intended to support the renovation of the nurses’ station on the medical/surgical department on the second floor.
At its January meeting, the foundation board chose to honor William King and the Cordelian Club at this event. Bill King is a longtime volunteer for the Foundation board and a past member and president of the hospitals’s board of directors. The Cordelian Club has supported the hospital and nursing home for decades through its annual dance. As an individual and as a group, these two honorees have demonstrated their strong support for the “Gem on the Hill.”
Entertainment for the evening was provided by Nick Kody and Lydia Herren, along with the Springville Jazz Orchestra, conducted by Bill Cocca.

Every day, there are families in Springville who are thankful to have a Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in their community. Whether they are here for emergency care, long-term nursing care, or management of chronic conditions, their access to quality healthcare is our priority.
